Bali is currently still a world tourist destination, it is very easy to find entertainment venues in Bali nowadays, but to find something different related to people’s lives and culture is actually a challenge in itself, and interesting to know. It does take time to know in advance, and the day is not arbitrary to follow, One of the things that is currently still very interesting and even the only one in the World,

Hindus in Bali welcome the New Year with ceremonies throughout Bali with the Ogoh Ogoh Parade, namely a statue made of woven bamboo, and covered with paper and colored with various colors. Usually the statue, which we will hereinafter refer to as Ogoh Ogoh, is usually a giant, or the embodiment of forms that symbolize an evil figure. The day before Nyepi which we call New Year’s Day for Hindus in Bali, offerings and prayers are made at every major intersection both on the main road and in the villages, the goal is for humans to ask for salvation for what God has given by neutralizing negative forces both from nature as well as from the desires of humans themselves, and hope that goodness comes from all directions, namely the main thing is the 4 main cardinal directions, and hope that people in Bali will continue to hold fast and recognize and make those cardinal directions a reminder of the position of humans themselves. The Main Directions are East, West, South and North, and most importantly Middle. So the middle is where all the cardinal directions meet and become the Axis that must be the handle on all directions that are human goals. Because of our inability to describe the negative power we make it easy to understand with symbols in the form of a demonic statue embodiment and a scary shape, and it takes a long time to prepare, if you want to watch from the time of manufacture until the time of the parade, people will be very happy to give their time to you participate. When the parade starts after the ceremony in the afternoon, carrying torches and carrying the Ogoh-Ogoh around the village or village, with our belief to expel all evil influences before entering a New Year celebration, the next day. After going around the Ogoh-Ogoh, they are usually burned in the village cemetery area so that all evil influences are destroyed. Then usually people will return to their respective homes to clean themselves, and will continue with a meal together and a small party if everyone is still feeling excited, to enter a new day the next day. This is a culture that we must maintain and we want to convey that we really appreciate if you want to create new experiences with people in our environment and understand more about Bali, so that Bali truly leaves uniqueness in the midst of the massive onslaught of fast technology. We hope we can still hold on to this Culture.
