The origin of the painting appeared in Bali is in the kamasan area, namely in Klungkung Regency, where ancient-style paintings adorn many wall hanging ornaments in sacred places. In contrast to the Batuan painting style, which requires much more skill, sharper concentration even if it is only to complete one small painting and of course much more time. However, the painting style is very developed in the Ubud area, which is 10 km from Batuan Village. At first, the theme of the painting in Ubud was the same as Batuan, which depicted the theme of belief and religion and not much in coloring, but is known to be very detailed. However, the arrival of Dutch painters in Ubud such as Walters Spies (1926), Rodof Bonnet (1028) changed the face of Ubud painting with the introduction of three-dimensional techniques. Thus the Ubud painting style was born which is very famous throughout the world, and instead invites world artists or painters even some became Indonesian citizens such as Don Antonio Blanco and Le Mayeour de Mepres, after the second world war, everything stopped and finally tourism grew after Indonesia’s independence and became the revival of Bali again. Ubud is 32 km from Denpasar and 38 km from Seminyak and can be taken approximately 1 hour drive if traffic is normal. But don’t worry, various transportation options are always ready to take you to your destination. Or even travel where you like around Ubud with a private driver, and comfortable facilities. All can be obtained easily.
