Social, Art and Cultures in Bali as Life Support

Social life, art and culture are very much attached to the life of the Balinese people. Life that instills how nature is valued, with offerings and all have symbols of characteristic traits and attitudes, appropriate and inappropriate, good and bad, like day and night, in every darkness there must be light and every light side there must be darkness. Life is a picture of events, which begin with karma and end with karma. Phala or reward is the result of the action, like the concept of cause and effect. The Hindu community in Bali is supported by a bond which is a process of cultivation that is passed down from generation to generation and makes it an ancestral heritage which, when connected with religious life, becomes a sacred covenant of truth. One of the expressions of this life we might be able to see in the role of wayang, where wayang means shadow and all characters are in the role of wayang, be it stories about the Mahabharata or the Ramayana which are often performed at Uluwatu temples and others.

Whatever the ceremony in Bali is, it is a community culture and there are differences from one region to another, but the goal is the same to strengthen the belief in the truth, that God is the Eternal Truth. A series of ceremonies like this cannot be watched every day because there is a special time and it is carried out periodically. Bali believes in auspicious days, and has a special calendar that is different from the regular calendar in general. This uniqueness is what causes Bali to be different in the midst of the onslaught of technology and all the conveniences offered by it.
